Said, “No more counting dollars, we’ll be counting stars”
[OneRepublic]
I felt the need to breathe a different air. To experiment, without expectations, simply for the pleasure of doing it. So I picked up an old vintage camera, one of those you think you’ll keep in the studio just for show, a charming piece of décor and nothing more.
But, as often happens, life had other plans. At a flea market, tucked away in a little stall, I found an old lens. It felt like it had been waiting there just for me. I paused for a moment, then thought: why not?
That’s how these portraits came to life. They have been taken through that lens, and to me they’re proof that some of the most meaningful images don’t always come from the latest technology, but from the meeting point between technique and instinct, curiosity and the simple desire to play.
A bit like when you look up, beyond the glow of the city, and still hope to see the stars.
And sure enough, they’re still there. Distant, silent, and luminous, showing us their light through the vast lens of the universe.
