From New York to Tuscany with over a hundred guests in tow: a wedding that, on paper, could have been complex, yet from the very beginning found a perfect balance between emotion, beauty, and joy.
Isabel and Michael chose Relais Corte dei Papi, an 18th-century residence in Cortona. A charming location set among the Tuscan hills, defined by its timeless elegance and beautiful open spaces.
The day, marked by an intense heat, fully reflected the couple’s personalities: Isabel, refined, light and graceful, and Michael, joyful, witty and effortlessly fun.
The ceremony took place in the garden, surrounded by greenery and delicate flowers, while the reception unfolded by the pool, leading into dinner. It was there that everything became more intimate. Inside the stunning mirror hall, with its vaulted ceilings and wood paneling with gilded inlays, the speeches from friends and family moved everyone, myself included.
Then came the dancing, lively and full of energy, in true American style, with a playful and heartfelt dance between the bride and her father.
It was a wedding full of emotion, yet light in spirit, and it was truly a pleasure to be part of it.
