“I won’t cross these streets until you hold my hand”
[Rise against]
June 2020. A time when everything felt uncertain, and even getting married seemed fragile, almost precarious.
Emma in her wedding dress with Converse, Jo radiant in white, surrounded by their families, both made up of musicians. The bride’s father, who not only played, but also gently walked her down the aisle.
There was a quiet tension in the air, the kind we all remember from those months. And yet, they managed to transform it. To claim their moment, creating something real in a situation that seemed to leave no room for anything at all.
They chose the timeless 19th-century atmosphere of Villa Pitiana, a venue nestled in the Tuscan countryside that allowed them to stay outdoors, in its lush, sweeping gardens, respecting all regulations, without giving up what truly mattered.
And maybe that’s what stayed with me the most: their ability to find happiness and a sense of togetherness, even there.
Every time I look at these images, I go back to that early summer afternoon. To that precise feeling, hard to explain, but impossible to forget.
