The lute
[Alda Merini]

From the magnificent hands of the heart
you are noble instrument path
that are inside the lips of the lord.
And the touch is white
like a vibrating string
and like my rhyme
which should be one word
and instead it is a thought
a song.

Some places don’t need introductions. They speak for themselves. Villa Pazzi al Parugiano is one of the most breathtaking estates in Tuscan (my personal favorite!) and every time I look at it through my lens, I feel like it whispers: “Do your best with that camera!”

Yasmin and Vincent fell in love with it too, and chose it to celebrate their wedding. He’s Canadian, she has Iranian roots: an already beautiful mix on paper that turned into something truly extraordinary in real life.

The day unfolded in a gentle dance of languages, cultures, laughter, and lightness. A refined celebration, blending classic elegance with an international spirit, and delicate touches from Yasmin’s heritage. The most captivating detail? The mirror ceremony, an ancient Persian tradition, where glances, reflections, and emotion intertwine. I had never witnessed it before, and it was a gift to photograph. The graceful garden, the soft daylight streaming through the villa’s tall windows, and the art that graced every wall did the rest.

Grateful as always to have shared this experience with my friend and colleague Daniele Vertelli. Growing, learning, storytelling: all in a single day.
